E&S bolstered its executive management team with the appointment of Mark Tragear as retail operations manager and Peter Barry in the newly created role of general manager for merchandising and marketing.
Tragear succeeded Mike Bishop, who retired in July after more than six years in the role.
Tragear has a relationship with E&S spanning more than 20 years, which first began in 1999 with Tragear representing Sampford & Staff and working with E&S on brands including Gaggenau and Hansgrohe.
Tragear also held the position of retail operations manager with Clive Peeters. Following the closure of Clive Peeters, he commenced with BSH as national sales manager for Siemens/Bosch, before being appointed managing director of V-Zug in 2014. Most recently, Tragear had been employed by Narta as national retail manager.
E&S executive director, Greg Lake said, “Adding the experience, drive and enthusiasm of Mark to our business is exciting, and will allow us to say a fond farewell to Mike Bishop, knowing that we are handing over such an important role to an equally talented and experienced professional like Mark.”
Barry, who fills the newly created position of general manager for merchandising and marketing, is a highly accomplished merchandiser with a pedigree that spans some of Australia’s large retailers including Kmart and Big W, but also family-owned retailers such as Webster Holdings (MARCS, David Lawrence and Jigsaw) and The Spotlight Group, where he worked as a consultant. “As a 59-year-old family business, we are thrilled to have been able to attract such high calibre and experienced individuals to form part of the future of E&S,” Lake said.
