KitchenAid showed off a range of major domestic appliances ahead of a possible launch onto the Australian market.
Whirlpool GM – Strategy, Harry Van Dyk, hosted a number of retailer groups to showcase a range of KitchenAid major appliances building on the heritage of its small appliances – in particular its signature mixer. Whirlpool is the US parent of KitchenAid.
Van Dyk claims he is “formulating plans for distribution into the Australian market, but it won’t arrive this calendar year” with current Whirlpool business partners, The Good Guys, the leading contender to take the products.
“This is a range of hand-made commercial grade products. The KitchenAid brand appeals to cooks, while other brands are for looks,” Van Dyk explained.
