Among the 200 products from Smeg that will be in production within the next six months, is a freestanding 90cm cooker, the Portofino, which was shown in various colours, and is the flagship release.

Australian retailers can expect to see the cooker in black, white and stainless, Smeg Australia managing director, Andrew Cronin, told Appliance Retailer.

This American-style, semi-commercial oven features a 122 litre single-welded cavity and boasts one of the heaviest, slow-closing doors on the market, designed to complement the sturdy knobs and heavier appearance. It is also Smeg’s first 90cm pyrolytic oven and comes with a dedicated pizza stone.

Smeg also previewed a new Linear built-in oven range with updated features that included a chrome dial, a blast chiller and sous-vide, that formed part of the new range of compact products. A new blade concept was released, demonstrating a more focused form of gas heat delivery and an updated Guido Canali collection (pictured above) of cooking products with a number of quirky trivet designs illustrated with insects and birds.
