Australia’s most visited comparison website, Finder has announced the best appliance brands across 20 categories as voted by Australian consumers. Sunbeam received the most appliance awards of any brand (6), followed by Breville (5), Miele (5) and Haier (4).
Aggregating the data across all individual appliance categories, LG has taken the inaugural award as the most loved appliance brand due to high scores across the range of appliances.
In partnership with Dynata, Finder polled over 10,000 Australians across the Customer Satisfaction Awards program to award the winners. Brands were rated across a range of metrics including product features, performance, reliability, value for money and ease of use. These scores were then weighted to determine the winners of three award types in each product category – the most loved, top value and most reliable brand.
Four brands had a clean sweep across an entire product category, taking out all three awards for a product, including Bosch in dishwashers, Miele in ovens, Sunbeam in rice cookers and Big W Brilliant Basics in microwaves.
Haier was well represented across clothes dryers and washing machines winning two awards in each category, with Samsung the most loved for washing machines and Fisher & Paykel voted the most reliable for clothes dryers.
CHiQ rated top value for fridges and most reliable for freezers with Hisense winning the top value and most loved awards in the freezer category and LG most loved and most reliable for fridges.
