LG has done away with power cords in its new range of cordless vacuum cleaners —including a cordless canister vacuum described as a ‘game changer’ — which will be unveiled at IFA in Berlin.
LG’s CordZero, a new cordless canister vacuum cleaner, can be taken freely from room to room, through table and chair legs without any holdups from a tangled cord. It is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery PowerPack, which LG says provides 200 watts of suction power and continuous cleaning for up to 40 minutes in regular power mode.
One intuitive new feature LG are spruiking is RoboSense technology. The official spiel describes it as such: “The CordZero vacuum cleaner ‘watches’ the user and automatically follows at a constant distance using motorized wheels.”
LG are offering a 10 year warranty on the CordZero Smart Inverter Motor.
“CordZero is a game changer and will play a significant role in making LG a leading premium vacuum cleaner brand around the world,” said Seong-jin Jo, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance Company.
“The CordZero collection is the result of over 10 years of innovation and commitment to creating a new breed of products that redefine convenience, ultimately allowing consumers to live smarter lives.”
There is also a handstick model in the range, the CordZero 2 in 1, featuring a detachable handle-held unit. The Dual PowerPack provides 60 minutes of running time in regular mode and 40 minutes in power mode.
Rounding out the range is the LG RoboKing Square, LG’s current robot vacuum which the company describes as its “most popular model to date.”
