Leading businesses and industry experts from across the retail landscape will gather in Sydney next week for the 2013 Retail Conference, offering insights and analysis for Australian retailers on the changing shape of the retail industry as a whole. The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre will play host to a day of retail-focused events on 24 September, before a 2-day Shopper Summit held by point of purchase marketing company POPAI.
The 2013 Retail Conference program will include a number of keynote speeches and sessions on topics including e-commerce, visual merchandising and design, customer insights and the future of retail. The conference will also focus on enabling technologies designed to assist retailers in adapting to the constantly evolving world of modern retail.

Speakers include Sue Anderson, director of programs at the ARA Retail Institute, David Fenner, GM of Retail Solutions at Motorola Solutions ANZ, and David Choi, market development manager at Hewlett-Packard Retail Solutions.
The POPAI Shopper Summit will focus more closely on the customer shopping experience and the path to purchase in retail stores, with Jason Ratliff, senior manager of shopper marketing at Philips Consumer Lifestyle (ANZ) discussing how customers engage with brands through point of sale, and Microsoft Australia’s head of channel marketing (consumer and retail division), Danny Lattouf, offering insight on the way connected and online-savvy customers are shopping in bricks and mortar stores.
