GreenPan non-stick coating certified safe by NSF

There have been increasing concerns around PFAS contamination in drinking water and presence in common everyday items.

PFAS are a group of more than 10,000 manmade chemicals, including those commonly known such as PFOA and PTFE. Used for their water, dirt, and oil-repellent properties, these chemicals are found in many cosmetics, food packaging, and non-stick pans, but can be harmful to health and the environment.

GreenPan introduced its Thermolon ceramic non-stick coating back in 2007, which is free of PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead and cadmium, unlike traditional non-stick coatings. In March 2024, Thermolon became the world’s first and only NSF-certified ceramic non-stick coating.

NSF, an independent global health and safety organisation based in the US, rigorously tested GreenPan’s ceramic non-stick coating and confirmed its adherence to strict food safety and toxicity standards.
