Hart & Co. hosted more than 200 guests from the design, architectural and building sectors at its state-of-the-art showroom in Osborne Park to celebrate the winners of the Hart & Co. Kitchen & Laundry Design Awards for 2024. These awards stand as the leading independent industry awards in Western Australia.
Hart & Co. executive chairman, Rick Hart expressed his pride in the awarded designers and their exceptional projects. “The calibre of entries this year has been truly phenomenal, highlighting the innovative talent within WA.”
In honour of Presenting Partner, Fisher & Paykel, the evening paid tribute to their homeland New Zealand with event proceedings officially opened with a traditional Maori Haka. (Pictured: Manawa Mai Tawhiti Cultural Group).
The winners were selected across eight categories, with a total of $25,000 in cash prizes. Louis Homes and Jess O’Shea Designs both took home the award in the Zip Water Kitchen Design Excellence (Over $60,000) category, reflecting the high standard of design achieved this year.

Sasha Thomasz from Thomasz Design & Construction was recognised with both the Schweigen Kitchen Design Excellence (Up to $60,000) award and Franke Laundry Design Excellence category.

The Fisher & Paykel Kitchen Design Excellence and Outdoor Kitchen Design Excellence categories named the following winners:

- Fisher & Paykel Kitchen Design Excellence – Integrated Appliances: Megan Myers Interiors
- Outdoor Kitchen Design Excellence: Nikki Burwash, Tailorhouse Interiors

In the Cosentino People’s Choice Award, Mata Design Studio emerged as the crowd favourite from the finalists. Madeleine Gwilliam of North Metro Tafe was named the winner of the Emerging Talent Award for Best Kitchen Design Concept.
“Our heartfelt congratulations go out to all the award winners. The awards not only celebrate WA’s best design talent but also encourage new opportunities for our emerging designers. We’re delighted to witness how our local program shapes the future of our industry, creating employment and networking opportunities for our young designers,” Hart said.
