Harvey Norman welcomed John Craven as an independent non-executive director. This is the first time in 14 years that Harvey Norman has appointed an independent non-executive director since Graham Paton joined the board.
A former partner of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Craven brought more than 40 years of experience in management consulting and information technology.
Craven is chair of Specialisterne Australia, part of a not-for-profit organisation working to enable one million jobs for people on the autism spectrum, and a member of the global board based in Denmark. He is also a member of philanthropic investment organisation, Social Venture Partners Melbourne.
Harvey Norman chairman, Gerry Harvey commented, “John has advised and assisted a number of organisations in the private and public sectors to harness and govern technology and digital investments. His appointment further strengthens the board’s mix of skills, knowledge and experience.”
