Harvey Norman has been named the major partner for Good360 Australia’s 2024 EveryOne Day campaign. The campaign, which kicks off in October and culminates in a nationwide fundraising day on Thursday 17 October, aims to raise funds to help connect millions of essential items to Australians in need.
This year’s EveryOne Day comes on the back of research conducted by Good360 which revealed more than one in four Australians are doing it tougher than ever before.
Following a successful inaugural campaign in 2023 where over $560,000 was raised thanks to the support of retail partners and the public, EveryOne Day 2024 seeks to build on this momentum and raise $1 million.
Good360 is the largest digital marketplace in Australia for the retail industry to donate unused and unsold consumer goods to people in need. All funds raised will go towards supporting over 4,500 charities and disadvantaged schools Australia-wide, by providing essential goods such as computers, furniture and whitegoods to support their work. Every $1 donated to Good360 helps deliver $20 worth of unsold new goods to people in need.
Good360 Australia founder and managing director, Alison Covington AM said, “Millions of Australians are struggling through a devastating cost of living crisis, with charities and schools needing more support and donated items to meet the demand. Good360 is on a mission to deliver $1 billion worth of new items to support communities across the country, while also reducing waste in our environment.
“We are thrilled to have Harvey Norman join us as the major partner for this year’s EveryOne Day. Their support is crucial to our efforts. I encourage other retailers and brands to follow Harvey Norman’s lead, get on board and help make a meaningful impact through activations, events, volunteer programs and workplace giving.”
As major partner for EveryOne Day, Harvey Norman will harness its store network to facilitate EveryOne Day fundraising for 10 days, from October 10 to 20, giving Harvey Norman staff and customers more opportunities to support Good360.
Harvey Norman CEO, Katie Page said, “Harvey Norman is proud to be the major partner for EveryOne Day 2024. We’ve worked closely with Good360 since 2019 to donate goods that help Australians recover from natural disasters and assist charities in setting up new accommodation.
“We see first-hand the profound impact these donations have on people’s lives and the strength of our communities. Good360’s model ensures that essential goods reach people who need them most, and this campaign is a great way to contribute to supporting our fellow Australians.”
