Hoover has unveiled a new range of aggressively priced robot vacuums in a variety of bold colours to be sold through the Godfreys chain.
In a relatively unique arrangement for the appliance industry, retail brand Godfreys and famous floorcare name Hoover are owned by the same parent company (ICSG). Despite this connection, Godfreys sells floorcare products from a wide variety of third party brands, while Hoover is also available to a broad selection of retailers.
The new 4250 range of Hoover robot vacs is available in orange, yellow and pink for RRP $249. As Godfreys general manager of merchandise and buying, Karl Schuster, correctly points out, this is considerably cheaper than the robot vacs being marketed by brands such as Russell Hobbs, Samsung and LG.
“These Hoover robot vacuums have a huge amount of features at a low price point,” he said. “We want to show customers that they don’t need to spend $1,000-plus to get an excellent robot vacuum for their home!
“The new Hoover robot range is very exciting for us, they have been in development for a long time and early customer feedback has been excellent!
“The colours used in the new Hoover 2014 range are proving very popular with consumers, and we plan to broaden this range significantly in the coming months.”
