Electrolux delivered its latest range of smart laundry appliances at IFA in Berlin, aimed at making clothes last longer, while reducing use of resources.
The new range includes 600 to 900 series washers, 700 to 800 series washer dryers and 600 to 900 series tumble dryers.
New Care Index and SmartSelect research from Electrolux demonstrates that washing at lower temperatures with shorter cycles can double the lifespan of clothing.
Thanks to smart pre-mixing technology, UltraQuick claims to deliver the market’s best stain removal results quickly at only 30 degrees. During tests, it completely removed more than 50 common household stains, including ketchup, Bolognese sauce and gravy, all at 30°C in less than an hour.
Available on Electrolux Series 800 and Series 900 washers and Series 800 washer dryers, the UltraQuick program is optimised for daily mixed loads of cottons and synthetics, that can also save up to 30% of energy.
Also, on show at IFA was a world-first in tumble dryers with the series 700 to 900 being the first tumble dryers to be recognised with Wool Care Green, the highest accolade by The Woolmark Company, the global authority on wool.
All Electrolux tumble dryers with the DelicateCare feature are Woolmark certified. The new range of tumble dryers have taken the top Wool Care Green honours due to their energy efficiency.
DynamicDisplay is Electrolux’s most advanced display to date, allowing for easy navigation and personalised guidance. Favourite cycles can be accessed quickly by customising settings and on-screen tips are provided. The new range can also be accessed and navigated via the new and improved Electrolux app.
New SmartSelect from Electrolux guides consumers to save time, energy and water. Available on select models within the 700 to 900 series washers and washer dryers, it adjusts washing based on the level of dirt. When a cycle is selected by the user, SmartSelect provides feedback, adjusts program length and temperature as a guide to save up to 80% of energy, 50% of time and 20% of water.
SmartSelect is also available on 700 to 900 Series tumble dryers. With one click, the desired level of dryness is selected from extra dry to cupboard dry to iron dry. The dryer will also automatically adjust the cycle length to ensure minimum energy consumption.
Electrolux’s SmartSave drying innovation features on 900 series tumble dryers, giving users the choice between saving time or energy. Choose Time Save to save up to 59 minutes or Energy Save to save up to 20% energy with each load.
