The JB Hi-Fi Group has provided a sales update for Q3 FY21, which coincides with group CEO, Richard Murray’s decision to leave the company in August 2021 to join Premier Retail.
Sales at JB Hi-Fi Australia were up 10.4% during the period, down from 11.6% in the previous corresponding period. Comparable sales were up 11.5%.
JB Hi-Fi New Zealand experienced total sales growth of 16% was an improvement from a 3.3% decline in the previous corresponding period. Comparable sales growth was 16%.
The Good Guys reported total sales growth of 5.8%, down from 13.9% in the previous corresponding period. Comparable sales growth was 5.8%.
The group said it is pleased with the sales result and trading in April to date with continued heightened customer demand and strong sales growth over a two-year period.
Due to the ongoing uncertainty from Covid-19, sales and earnings guidance was not provided for FY21.
