Lenovo has recalled the litium-ion batteries sold with their Thinkpad notebook as they can overheat and potentially cause fires, according to the ACCC recall notice.
The batteries were sold nationally from 1st October 2010 to 30th April 2011 and were included in Lenovo products or distributed as replacement or stand-alone options. The affected models are: T510, W510, X100E, X201, X201s, Edge 11, Edge 13 and Mini 10.
According the ACCC consumers should immediately turn off their computer, remove the battery and only power the computer through the AC adaptor and power cord.
