LG Electronics Australia is launching the StanbyME Go with a 27-inch touch display and 20W four-channel speaker system, all housed in a carry case.
Building on the portability of the original StanbyME, the Go model has a built-in battery that lasts up to three hours and allows users to access and enjoy entertainment with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
LG Electronics Australia general manager for home entertainment marketing and content business, Tony Brown said, “Over the past few years, we’ve seen increasing diversification in the way people consume their favourite content. From the size of the screen to where people like to watch their favourite shows, consumers are taking entertainment into their own hands.
“Following the popularity of the original StanbyME model, we’re thrilled to be bringing the StanbyME Go to Australia and look forward to seeing its integration with the outdoor Australian lifestyle.”
Supporting a range of use cases and personal preferences, the StanbyME Go can be tilted, rotated 90 degrees for portrait mode and height adjusted up to 18cm. With a simple swipe down on the intuitive touch screen, users can control brightness, volume, and power, while a swipe up returns to the home screen.
Equipped with the LG webOS smart TV platform, the device offers access to global and local streaming apps such as Stan, Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime, as well as the ability to connect with an iOS or Android device.
When set to Table Mode, the StanbyME Go screen lies flat in the lower part of the case and transforms into a digital boardgame or virtual record player. Designed to endure outdoor conditions, the device has passed five military standard tests, proving its durability against high and low temperatures, dust, shock, and more.
The LG StanbyME Go (27LX5) is available via Harvey Norman online and in store and the LG website for $1,999.
