This week, LG Electronics Australia is showcasing the new LG Styler and LG WashTower at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week as the official laundry appliance partner for the event.
LG is offering guests the opportunity to experience the benefits of the LG Styler, by checking coats, jackets and other garments to be refreshed at the ‘LG Refresh Zone’.
The new LG Styler, due to roll out into Harvey Norman stores in July, includes five oscillating hangers and larger overall dimensions with a 600mm wide opening, as well as an updated control panel and mirrored glass front.
Using steam and moving hangers to gently shake clothes, wrinkles are reduced, and unpleasant odours are dispelled to refresh fabrics and reduce the need for frequent dry cleaning. The LG Styler is ideal for items that cannot be easily washed or dried in traditional high temperature dryers, including woollens, knits, jackets, trousers or sportswear.
Refreshing up to four garments simultaneously, the LG Styler features a range of cycles for several types of garments. In 20 minutes, users can give items a light refresh and allergy sufferers can run the Sanitary cycle in less than 90 minutes to help reduce allergens such as house dust mites and bacteria.
With LG ThinQ, the LG Styler can be controlled via a mobile app to remotely monitor the progress of a cycle, track energy consumption or download a specialised care cycle. LG Smart Diagnosis offers convenient, accurate support to diagnose and address appliance issues.
LG also showed off the LG WashTower, a single stacked unit that combines a 17kg front-load washing machine and 10kg heat pump dryer with central control panel.
LG AI Direct Drive (AI DD) technology on the front load washer weighs the load and assesses the fabric to select the appropriate wash motions in the selected cycle. The unit can also share information on the wash load with the dryer via the ‘Smart Pairing’ feature to automatically set the optimal drying course.
TurboClean technology features jets of water to improve wash performance and shorten wash times. For allergy sufferers, the downloadable Allergy cycle utilises the power of steam to remove common household allergens in fabrics.
LG ThinQ connectivity allows users to monitor washing and drying cycles and energy consumption, receive alerts, help diagnose appliance problems and download new cycles.
The Heat Pump dryer in the LG WashTower boasts a 10-star energy rating. It uses low heat to gently dry clothes, reducing the risk of material shrinkage and breakdown, while using less electricity than traditional vented dryers.
The LG WashTower will be available from late June through leading retailers for RRP $5,999.
