LG Electronics has ended Electrolux’s two-year reign as Australia’s favourite clothes dryer brand, taking out Canstar Blue’s latest consumer satisfaction survey with a 5-star Overall Satisfaction rating. Electrolux, Simpson and Fisher & Paykel were the only other brands to be included in the final result, with no other dryer label garnering 30 responses from the 2,500-strong survey sample.
This is the fourth year that Canstar Blue has surveyed clothes dryer customers and it is LG’s first victory in the category. Electrolux prevailed in 2013 and 2012, and Fisher & Paykel before that in 2011.
“LG’s dryer design is truly stunning, with its condenser dryer range being real knockouts,” Canstar Blue reported. “Additionally, some LG clothes dryers come with digital temperature sensors to ascertain when clothes are finished drying, saving the clothes from damage and conserving energy, as well as steam generators to ensure clothes come out feeling fresh.
“Of the eight survey criteria, LG received top ratings in four, a great result in such a competitive category.”
Canstar Blue’s research found that the average RRP of a clothes dryer is $621.
