LG has presented its 2021 home entertainment range at a luxury home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, showcasing its latest OLED, Nano Cell and 4K UHD TVs.
In 2021, LG is releasing its most screen sizes to date and the best value OLED model ever offered by the company at RRP $3,199 for the 48-inch model.
LG is offering free delivery and wall mount or tabletop installation with select leading retailers to consumers who purchase an LG OLED, Nano Cell or 4K UHD TV 77-inch or above. This offer is available for a limited time from now until Wednesday 16 June 2021.
First unveiled during the all-digital CES 2021, LG announced the local availability and pricing for its QNED Mini LED TVs. Available from July 2021, the range will incorporate 4K and 8K models, priced from RRP $4,799 up to $10,799.
QNED technology combines Nano Cell and Quantum Dot for better colour reproduction, improved black levels and increased contrast ratio thanks to more dimming zones and smaller light sources. The QNED Mini LED TVs are positioned as a step-up from Nano Cell but OLED remains the leading display technology in the LG range.
LG Australia marketing manager for home entertainment, Tony Brown said the 2021 home entertainment range responds to increased investment in the home and strong demand for more premium products.
“We are seeing huge home expenditure among Australians because they are unable to travel overseas. As a result, they are spending more time at home and investing in their home entertainment setup,” he said.
“This year, we are bringing a wider range of TVs with an enhanced good, better, best offering incorporating standard 4K UHD, Nano Cell, QNED Mini LED and OLED models, with sizes now available from 48-inch to 83-inch in OLED.”
LG Australia head of sales for home entertainment, Josh Marshall echoed the shift to more premium quality product, a key driver of expanding LG’s OLED range from 10 models across four series to 15 models across five series.
“Big screen TVs 75-inch and above now account for more than 30% of TV sales for many of our retail partners. In addition to expanding the number of models available, we are updating the pricing for our new series OLED TVs with an OLED TV for RRP $3,199 for the first time, which is the best value we have ever presented,” he said.
“Retailers are seeing a quick snapback of consumers returning to stores; particularly for premium TV products, consumers need to touch and feel and compare with other models, which lends itself to the in-store experience.”
