Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) has raised over $80,000 for HeartKids Australia to support children and families impacted by childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD).

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, MHIAA partnered with HeartKids Australia to raise funds throughout its 2024 winter cash bonus campaign. From May to August 2024, MHIAA committed to donating $25 per eligible claim to HeartKids Australia and the company successfully raised $80,000.

MHIAA formally presented HeartKids Australia with their cheque at the annual Two Feet and a Heartbeat Charity Walk in October 2024 with MHIAA staff participating in events across the country. For MHIAA, the day was an opportunity for staff and their families to join walks across Australia, raising an additional $7,000 for HeartKids.

MHIAA managing director, Mr. Akihiro Nakajima highlights that the event enabled the company to give back to the local community while supporting a worthy cause.

“At MHIAA we remain committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and operate in. We were honoured to be supporting HeartKids Australia through our winter cash bonus campaign raising over $80,000 as part of the promotion and staff efforts. We are honoured to be partnering with HeartKids Australia as part of our 25 years anniversary celebrations and to be supporting children and families impacted by CoHD,” he said.

“On behalf of the MHIAA team, I would like to thank all consumers who supported our winter cash bonus and those who donated towards our staff team fundraising page. The money raised will undoubtedly make a large impact on those living with CoHD and provide much needed support to local families across Australia.”
