Miele has taken the wraps off its new G 6000 dishwashers, which are available in freestanding, built-under, integrated and fully integrated configurations, are and intended to be the perfect complement to the German manufacturer’s Generation 6000 range of cooking appliances.
The standout feature on the G 6000 range is Miele’s exclusive Knock2Open door-opening technology, which means the dishwasher can be accessed without the use of any external handles. Available only on models fully integrated into the kitchen cabinetry, Knock2Open works by tapping twice on the dishwasher’s fascia, prompting the door to gently swing down.
Other features across the 14 models include ComfortClose, for streamlined closing of the door; Reidel-endorsed Perfect GlassCare, for ensuring glassware is cleaned gently; and ThermoSave, to cut electricity consumption by 40 per cent. Selected models also include AutoClose, in which the door closes with just the slightest pressure; a delay start option for extra convenience; and EcoFeedback, for diagnostics on water and energy consumption.
All models in the range have 3.5-Star energy ratings and 5.5-Star WELS ratings.
“With the highest levels of energy efficiency, excellent cleaning and drying results and elegance, Miele’s new G 6000 Dishwashers are a delight to complete any kitchen,” the company said. “German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years usage, they are available from Miele Chartered Agents with a list price from $1,699.”
The freestanding models are available only in Brilliant White for RRP $1,699 and RRP $1,999. There are three built-under models, all CleanSteel, for RRP $1,899 to $2,499. Integrated units are available in Brilliant, CleanSteel and Obsidian Black, though features vary depending on the colour; RRPs range from $1,899 to $3,799. The full integrated models range from RRP $2,199 to $4,299 and there is no listed colour as they sit within the cabinetry.
