More appliance industry suppliers including Miele and Zip Water have confirmed price increases in the market effective 1 April.

Appliance Retailer understands some brands are yet to finalise their pricing structures while other companies such as Miele have decided to increase pricing in some categories and decrease pricing in other categories following an analysis of every SKU within the company’s range.

“Miele will be implementing a new price list from 1 April 2025,” the company has advised retailers.

“The new price list will comprise of selective price changes to help offset cost increase drivers including cost of goods and freight,” Miele advised retailers.

Zip Water has confirmed a four per cent increase effective from 1 April.

In a letter to retailers obtained by Appliance Retailer, Zip Water residential director, Cliff Thompson confirmed the increase on residential products.

“It’s been an exciting year, and we continue to value your partnership and support,” Thompson said.

“Zip is committed to delivering high quality goods and services to our customers, however due to increasing cost of business, Zip has elected to adjust the pricing of our products from 1 April 2025.

“We look forward to working closely with you again in 2025 and beyond,” Thompson said.

WA-based retailer Hart & Co has commenced a sale celebrating its 50th birthday as a business encouraging consumers to purchase this weekend ahead of imminent price rises next week.

“Our suppliers will be implementing major price increases across major appliance brands. Shop before 31 March to secure your dream appliances at the current prices and save,” the company said.

During its half-year results call last month, JB Hi-Fi CEO Terry Smart predicted price rises were imminent in the marketplace due to the weak Australian dollar.

A number of appliance companies have already confirmed price rises in the market.

Smeg Australia confirmed pricing will increase on 1 May across its range of major appliances and small appliances.

Beko confirmed pricing would increase around 5 per cent to 6 per cent on 7 April, however the increases are dependent on the individual product and the category.

Worldwide Appliances, the distributor for products including Everdure, Omega Altise and Robinhood increased pricing by between 8% to 15% on 1 March.
