Miele Professional has introduced its new range of Benchmark large laundry appliances, replacing the models from the previous Benchmark generation.
The flagship Performance Plus models boast more than 90 wash programs, in packages that cater for specific channels, including disinfection for aged care, cycles for workwear or domestic-type garments such as shirts. The standard range of programs is available on the Performance models, which feature an updated iron grey front.
Depending on the application, M Touch Pro Plus controls with full touch colour display can be set to offer complete customisation of programs and parameters.
The new models cut specific cycle times by up to 10% compared with the previous generation. The shortest cycle on Performance Plus washing machines is 42 minutes and uses just 5.9 litres of water per kilogram of laundry, while residual moisture is only 44%, saving resources in the subsequent drying process.
Another new feature is the way a percentage of process air in the dryer is returned to the drum by AirRecycling Flex, a further Miele development on the previous AirRecycling Plus system. The air paths inside the unit are dynamically regulated by smart controls to suit current operating conditions to ensure perfect drying results combined with low energy consumption, shorter drying cycles and gentler treatment of fabrics.
Miele Professional washing machines (12kg to 20 kg) and dryers (14kg to 44 kg) from the Benchmark series have received a Red Dot Product Design Award. The new Benchmark series has also been acknowledged with an iF Design Award.
The Benchmark laundry range is available to purchase from Miele Professional.
