Motorola is releasing its latest Edge smartphones in Australia including the edge 20 fusion, edge 20 and edge 20 pro, in addition to the moto g50 5G.
The Motorola Edge devices feature an advanced 108MP camera, 6.7-inch OLED display, an ultra slim design and are equipped with Motorola’s new Ready For platform designed to enhance productivity, gaming, video chat and entertainment.
Motorola head of Australia and New Zealand, Kurt Bonnici said, “With the latest Motorola Edge family, it was important to bring consumers what they need most. We have always worked to democratise cutting-edge technology and these new devices bring incredible features at more accessible price points.”
The Motorola edge 20 pro (featured image) offers a new 108MP main camera, one of the company’s largest camera sensors at 1/1.5-inch optical format. Thanks to ultra-pixel technology, light sensitivity is improved by nine times, resulting in better low light performance.
The third camera is Motorola’s first periscope-style telephoto lens which bends the light 90 degrees for superior clarity from five times the distance. For the first time on a Motorola smartphone, the edge 20 pro can record in 8K resolution and offers 50x Super Zoom.
The 6.7-inch Max Vision display with OLED technology offers 10-bit colour and meets HDR10+ standards for over a billion shades of colours.
Another first is the 144Hz refresh rate – which Motorola claims to be the highest refresh rate available on mainstream smartphones – and is 60% faster than the first generation of motorola edge.
At just 6.99mm, the Motorola edge 20 (pictured above) is one of the company’s thinnest smartphones yet but doesn’t compromise when it comes to the camera with a 108MP main sensor, ultra-wide and macro lens, plus a 30x Super Zoom telephoto lens.
Like the edge 20, it features a 6.7-inch display and 144Hz refresh rate. The device will last beyond a full day without recharging thanks to the 4,000 mAh battery. TurboPower 30 provides eight hours of power in just 10 minutes.
The edge 20 fusion (pictured below) also offers an advanced camera system including the 108MP main sensor, ultra-wide and Marco Vision lenses, at Motorola’s most competitive price point.
In addition to the 6.7-inch OLED display, the edge 20 fusion houses a power efficient MediaTek chipset. The 5,000 mAh battery claims to be one of the largest of any 5G smartphone and offers two days of power on a single charge.
Dual Capture mode allows users to record video or capture photos with any two cameras at the same time, while Audio Zoom on the edge 20 pro and edge 20 uses advanced microphones to capture the sound of the subject while filtering out ambient noise and voices.
Super slow-motion records 960 high-definition frames per second, four times slower than the slow motion on previous Motorola phones. For better selfies in the dark, Low Light AI automatically analyses the photo for potential improvements in brightness and quality.
The Ready For platform brings mobile games, TV shows and video calls to the big screen, while allowing users to still use their phone to text, make a call, and more. With the Motorola edge 20 and edge 20 pro devices, users can activate Ready For wirelessly and experience Ready For PC, offering seamless and simultaneous access to phone apps and PC files on the same screen.
The new moto g50 5G (pictured above) delivers next generation speed by downloading movies in seconds and enabling online gaming and YouTube viewing without delays. The 48MP sensor provides super clear shots in any light and Quad Pixel technology ensures every photo is sharp and bright thanks to four times more light sensitivity.
