At ceremony in Melbourne.
The Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) hosted its 26th Annual ACA Awards last week showcasing the art of catalogue and letterbox marketing from industry leaders and up and coming talent. With a record attendance of 734 guests, the room was filled with retailers, creatives, agencies, printers and distributers all awaiting to hear who had been crowned as award winners of the night.
The event, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, was a successful evening celebrating catalogue marketing as a strong channel across Australia and New Zealand. Australian broadcaster and beloved actor, Libbi Gorr, kept the room entertained throughout the 46 category award ceremony.
With David Jones, Myer and Chemist Warehouse coming out as winners for Retailers of the Year across their sectors, finalists also included Myer, BCF, Kathmandu, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Domayne, Kmart, Dan Murphy’s and Coles. Aldi was victorious in the ‘Supermarkets’ Awards against Finalists Woolworths, Romeos Retail Group and Countdown Supermarkets NZ.

ACA CEO, Kellie Northwood said, “The catalogue in its traditional sense has been challenged, especially over the past year. Given the low-cost entry point of >19c and their ability to showcase a wider product range, catalogues and letterbox marketing continue to deliver strong Return on Investment for retailers.
“Printed catalogues remain a stable and effective channel for retailers, brandzines are also becoming more and more popular and in-store point-of-sale capture the impulsive shopper, the awards tonight recognized the retailers working the media hardest and achieving great results for their efforts.”
