Myer has officially opened its refurbished Toowoomba store located 125km west of Brisbane, which incorporates new lighting, flooring and fixtures, as well as a more open floorplan, improved change rooms and entrance upgrade works.

Myer and Grand Central announced an agreement to refurbish and upgrade the Toowoomba store, while agreeing to a new longer-term lease.

Myer originally opened in Toowoomba in 1962 (moving to Grand Central in 1996) and is celebrating the new look store with festivities that included a series of activations with loaded waffles, loaded chocolate bars, complimentary coffee, flower bouquet pop-up.

Myer Toowoomba store manager, Fiona Trevitt said, “Our Toowoomba team were excited to officially open our refurbished store to the community – it looks amazing and the response from customers has been positive.

“It showcases our brands and extensive offering in the best possible way in a modern, fresh and bright new layout. The refurbished store demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our loyal customers and the Toowoomba community.”

Grand Central centre manager, Claire Torkington added: “Myer’s commitment to upgrading its premises in Grand Central demonstrated their long-term commitment to delivering exceptional retail offers for the local community. This new and improved look of the Myer store is a wonderful customer experience.
