With the Creatista machine.
Nespresso chose Sydney’s Carriageworks as the launch platform for its latest coffee machine offering, the Creatista, co-developed with Breville. Guests were served espresso martinis before being treated to a three course, coffee infused dinner creation by James Viles of Biota in Bowral. Before the conclusion of the evening, guests including retailers, media and renowned coffee baristas, were invited to road test the new machine.
Nespresso Oceania general manager, Loic Rethore addressed attendees with a thank you for celebrating what he described as “an exciting breakthrough” for the coffee category.
“It is no secret that Australians and New Zealanders love their coffee. However, what may come as a surprise to you is that 87% of Australians do not order their coffee from the menu at the café. Instead, they give the barista specific instructions to produce coffee just the way they like it,” Rethore said.

“Creatista brings together the best of Nespresso coffee expertise and Breville’s innovative milk technology, featuring a unique automatic steam wand that allows users to personalise their milk with and try their hand at latte art at home. With five different milk based recipes, consumers can now personalise their coffee as much as they like,” he added.
Breville Australia general manager, Mark O’Kelly said, “It has now been three and a half years that Breville has been a machine partner with Nespresso, selling machines across Australia and New Zealand. The Breville design team recognised the opportunity to collaborate with Nespresso and launch a new capsule machine. Creatista has taken over two and a half years to develop and has been designed by Australian designers based in Sydney for the Australian and New Zealand market, but is also being launched simultaneously in America and Canada. Early in 2017, it will be launched in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.”
“Why are we making such a big deal about this coffee machine? Creatista is a coffee machine that combines convenience and quality, Nespresso capsules with barista style textured milk that you would only find in a café. But you can now achieve that same coffee in your own home. A stunning, premium design, a heat up time of just three seconds, a digital state-of-the art touch screen menu will allow you to select and create your own coffee. You can also adjust the temperature of your milk just the way you like it. And finally, one touch automatic steam wand, creating amazing café style textured milk. The technology taken from our $2,500 Oracle coffee machine is now in the Creatista machine for just $800.
The Nespresso Creatista is available through all major electrical retailers, department stores, as well as Nespresso boutiques and online at www.nespresso.com for an RRP of $799.
