NETGEAR has confirmed the local arrival of the world’s first Wi-Fi 6e router, the Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi router, promising speeds of up to 10.8Gbps.
Wi-Fi 6e resolves any congestion issues faced when working and learning at home by adding 6GHz Wi-Fi spectrum that can be used to broadcast Wi-Fi signals and connect to more devices with faster speeds and reliability. Up until now, Wi-Fi routers have been limited to the 2.4GHz and 5Ghz bands.
The Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi router is designed to provide the fastest Wi-Fi speed possible with higher capacity, lower latency, and the latest WPA3 security.
The new 6GHz band delivers up to 200% more available spectrum than dual-band Wi-Fi alone and less interference with three times more high-bandwidth 160MHz Wi-Fi channels.
Ideal for Gigabit internet speeds, a 64-bit 1.8GHz quad-core processor ensures smooth 4K and 8K UHD streaming and gaming. A multi-gig Ethernet port 2.5G offers 2.5 times the wired speed of a typical Gigabit port to be used for LAN or internet connectivity. The router also comes with five Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect more wired devices for faster file transfer.
The Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi router includes a free 30-day trial of NETGEAR Armor to protect against online threats. Armor’s multi-layered security is built into the RAXE500 router to provide best-in-class anti-virus, anti-malware, and data protection for smart devices, smartphones, and computers.
The NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi router is now available for pre-order via the NETGEAR Australia online store for RRP $1,099.
