NETGEAR is expanding its Wi-Fi 7 mesh and standalone router range to include the new Orbi 770 Tri-Band Mesh System and Nighthawk RS600 and RS200, to deliver the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology combined with powerful performance and secure connectivity.

Since the launch of NETGEAR’s first Wi-Fi 7 offerings – the Nighthawk RS700S and Orbi 970 Mesh System – multi-gig internet speeds have become more accessible and affordable, and IoT devices that require extreme low latency and higher throughput continue to be adopted.

Wi-Fi 7, which is 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6, offers enhanced performance and supports increased capacity across multiple connected smart home devices, providing faster speeds, near-zero latency and the ability to handle high-quality video streaming, as well as advanced computing, including AI-driven applications and AR/VR experiences.

NETGEAR president and general manager of connected home products and services, David Henry said, “Wi-Fi 7 represents a monumental leap forward in wireless technology, and adoption has quickly picked up momentum with more Wi-Fi 7 devices coming to market, including the recently announced iPhone 16.

“NETGEAR’s latest Nighthawk RS600 and RS200 routers, and the Orbi 770 mesh system, give more households access to the connectivity benefits of Wi-Fi 7 while also delivering robust network security to protect their homes and digital lives.”

The Orbi Wi-Fi 7 tri-band mesh system provides speeds up to 11Gbps for up to 100 devices across homes of up to 540 square metres with a three-pack. It improves connection speeds by combining the 5GHz and 6GHz bands using Multi-Link Operation for both fronthaul to connect to devices and backhaul to connect the router and the satellites.

Its 2.5 Gig internet port unlocks the ability to fully experience the multi-gig internet speeds available today. The 2.5Gig LAN ports on the router and satellite can be used for multi-gig wired connections between the two or to connect shared storage or a gaming PC or console.

The slim and cylindrical bodies of the Orbi router and satellites are purposefully designed for optimal performance and make them a subtle addition. Each unit features four high-performance internal antennas with high-powered amplifiers for 360-degree coverage, regardless of layout.

The Nighthawk RS600 (above) and RS200 (below) routers deliver blazing speed, low latency, and high capacity, backed by robust router security.

Each router sports a slender chassis with patented omni-directional internal antennas to push signals to the farthest range, providing 360 degrees of coverage, plus the latest multi-gig internet speeds with the 2.5 Gig or 10 Gig internet port.

The Nighthawk app can be used to configure Wi-Fi for peak performance on priority devices, manage the network from anywhere, including pausing the internet, running internet speed tests, tracking internet data usage, setting up separate guest networks, and more.

Powered by state-of-the-art encryption protocols and advanced threat detection mechanisms, NETGEAR routers incorporate security features such as automatic firmware updates, VPN support, WPA3 security, access control, and guest Wi-Fi network options.

For added protection, the Orbi 770, RS600 and RS200 include a 30-day trial of NETGEAR Armor Powered by Bitdefender for an additional layer of security for connected devices and added privacy with VPN.

Each router and mesh system also comes with NETGEAR Smart Parental Controls to manage kids’ time online across connected devices. Basic features are available free of charge. A subscription fee applies for a Premium Plan after a 30-day trial.
