Game Three of the Leading Retailer State of Origin Series, brought to you by Imaging Company, between the Insurance Company Queensland Beer Brand Maroons and the New South Wales Beer Brand Blues at Financial Services Stadium is on tonight — and it’s a decider!

(Apologies to Harvey Norman, Fujifilm, AAMI, XXXX, VB and Suncorp, whose longstanding and significant investment in State of Origin is much appreciated by rugby league fans and administrators.)

The match tonight starts just after 8pm in the Eastern States, 7:30pm in South Australia and the Northern Territory, and 6pm in Western Australia.

Coverage of match is in SD on Channel Nine and affiliates, with an HD replay on Fox Sports 2 from 10:30pm. NSW coach Ricky Stuart wrote in his News Limited column two weeks ago that he expects this match to be the most watched game of rugby league in the sport’s 117-year history.

Unlike Game 1 (LG) and Game 2 (Fujifilm), no electronics brand has leveraged State of Origin III to promote a product or service, so Current.com.au gets to choose one for its triannual free Origin plug.

For a perfectly manicured visage, with every strand of facial hair carefully trimmed to perfection, check out the new Style Shaver from former Balmain Tigers major sponsor Philips (QS6140, RRP $119).

With a dual-ended grooming tool for trimming and shaving, including 12 length settings and a narrow precision trimmer, users of this multi-purpose groomer can replicate the styles of their Origin heroes, be it Queensland’s trendy centre Justin Hodges or New South Wales’ winger/dreamboat Jarryd Hayne.

And because it’s waterproof, you can use the Philips Style Shaver in dry fast conditions or on a slow wet track.

Patrick’s Tips:

New South Wales 12
Queensland 10

Man of the Match: Todd Carney
Man of the Series: Robbie Farah
Five city metro TV ratings: 4 million plus.

(To all our valued Queensland readers: I have tipped New South Wales to win every game of the last six series, so please consider it more of a curse than a slight against your awesome team.)
