This year’s Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal has raised more than $830,000 for 16 charity groups across Australia. Since the annual appeal launched in 2018, Officeworks team members, together with customers, have raised almost $6 million for community organisations.

The 2024 appeal focused on supporting local community organisations and charities that enable children to learn, create and connect for a sustainable future. Officeworks store teams selected the organisations they wanted to support, relevant to their local communities.

Through the month of June, customers were encouraged to support their local charity by donating at the check-out in store or online.

Together, Officeworks store teams and customers raised funds for the following community organisations: Backpacks 4 VIC Kids, Caring Kids, Creating Chances, Give Write, Kids4Kids Foundation, Kids Giving Back, Kids Under Cover, Les Twentyman, Life Ed, My Room, Oz Child, SPEAK UP! Stay Chat TY, Stationery Aid, The Backpack Venture, Treasure Boxes and Waalitj Foundation.

Officeworks managing director, Sarah Hunter said, “The Make A Difference Appeal is close to our hearts and we’re incredibly thankful for the generosity and passion that our teams, customers and local communities have shown in getting behind this year’s appeal, helping make a positive difference in Australian children’s lives.

“Now in its seventh year, the funds raised by our annual Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal will help to ensure these organisations can continue the important work they do in our local communities in ensuring Australian children have the support they need to learn and grow.”

The Make a Difference Appeal forms part of Officeworks’ People and Planet Positive Plan commitment of raising $5 million for local causes between 2020 and 2025.
