This year’s Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal has raised more than $950,000 for local causes across the country, with more than $5 million raised through the annual Appeal since its launch in 2018.
The 2023 Appeal focused on supporting charities that enable children to learn, create and connect for a sustainable future. Officeworks store teams selected the organisations they wanted to support based on what felt most relevant to their local communities with 15 local community organisations supported by this year’s initiative.
Through the month of June, customers were encouraged to donate to support their local charity at check out in-store and online. Together, Officeworks, store teams and customers raised funds for Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Mirabel Foundation, Lighthouse Foundation, Sister2Sister, EatUp, Brighter Access, Care Kits for Kids QLD, Make A Wish Foundation, Busy Schools, Talk Out Loud, Operation Sunshine WA, Teach Learn Grow, Learning Links, Zoos Victoria and Lids4Kids.
Officeworks managing director, Sarah Hunter said, “Now in its sixth year, the funds raised by our annual Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal will help ensure these organisations can continue the important work they do in our local communities, providing them with integral resources needed to create a more sustainable future for Australian kids.
“It’s been a tough year for many so the work these local organisations do is more important than ever. We are proud of our customers and Officeworks teams for their fundraising efforts, helping make a positive difference in Australian children’s lives by helping them to learn, create and connect.”
