After 13 years.
Olympus Australia has confirmed the departure of general manager of the consumer division, Joe Tizzone (pictured below) after 13 years of service to the organisation, having successfully managed the business through significant market changes of recent years and an integration of the consumer business into the broader Olympus organisation.
Jason Borg has been announced as his replacement, effective August 1, 2017. He comes into the position with an intimate knowledge of the business, having been with Olympus for over 12 years.
Commenting on his departure, Tizzone said, “I am proud to have worked for such an innovative company with a rich history of incredible products for consumers and professionals alike. I also feel fortunate to have worked with some truly talented people within the organisation and across the industry. I am confident that I am leaving the business in a strong position for continued success, so I see this as a perfect time to move onto my next challenge.
Olympus managing director, James Bowe added, “Joe has been able to achieve outstanding results during his career at Olympus and, whilst we are disappointed by his departure, it makes me proud of our ability to develop business leaders of Joe’s calibre and I certainly wish him all the best in his new endeavours”.
