OPPO has released its new Reno8 series in Australia, the Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G, featuring dual Sony flagship sensors for enhanced camera performance and 80W Supervooc to charge the battery in just 30 minutes.
Speaking on the launch, OPPO Australia managing director, Michael Tran said, “We’re excited to be bringing the latest generation of our Reno devices to Australia with the Reno8 Series. Since launching the Reno series in early 2019, OPPO has shipped over 80 million Reno devices worldwide.
“Our OPPO Reno series is known for impressive camera capabilities and unique designs. Ushering in our new generation, the Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G employ the latest camera innovations to capture moments even in the most challenging lighting conditions.”
Both devices feature dual Sony flagship sensors, including the 32MP IMX709 RGBW sensor for the selfie camera to capture clearer selfies in low light, and the 50MP IMX766 sensor in the rear for next level camera performance. The Reno8 Pro 5G houses the MariSilicon X imaging NPU, enabling unrivalled videography capabilities in its class delivering brighter and more detailed videos at night.
80W SUPERVOOC on Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G charges the 4,500 mAh battery to 50% in around 10 minutes, and to 100% in around 30 minutes. With Battery Health Engine, Reno8 series devices keep up to 80% of their original capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, which is twice the industry standard, making it the longest smartphone battery lifespan on the market.
Reno8 Pro 5G is the thinnest Reno series handset yet at 7.34mm and weighs 183 grams, and the Reno8 5G measures 7.67mm in thickness and weights just 179 grams.
