OPPO has confirmed the launch of the OPPO Reno12 Series and Watch X in Australia.
To celebrate the launch, OPPO is offering a gift with purchase promotion across the Reno12 Series. From 27 June to 25 July 2024, customers who order the Reno12 Pro will receive an OPPO Watch X, valued at $699, via redemption. Those who order the Reno12 will receive an OPPO Pad Neo, valued at $449, via redemption.
The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro introduce GenAI features, marking the first major release under OPPO’s commitment to accelerate the adoption of AI smartphones.
The newly updated AI Eraser can remove unwanted people and objects in photos with a simple tap, while AI Studio can create digital avatars or artistic portrait styles from one single photo. In addition, there are AI features specifically designed to enhance group photos. These include using advanced GenAI technology to reopen eyes that may be closed and the high-definition restoration of facial details even for subjects distanced from the camera.
A futuristic fluid design with an alloy framework promises enhanced protection against drops, pressure and water. The rear glass panel has been crafted with OPPO’s Fluid Ripple Texture, creating a 3D-like sensation of rippling water. The devices are powered by the new 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy mobile platform, co-developed by MediaTek and OPPO.
Both models feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display capable of displaying over one billion colours with low blue light eye protection. The Reno12 Pro features the new Infinite View Screen with a quad micro-curve design.
Equipped with a Sony LYT-600 sensor, the main camera of both models offers faster and more stable focusing. The Reno12 Pro features a 50MP telephoto portrait camera, offering up to two times optical zoom and a new 50MP selfie camera with advanced AI portrait retouching effects.
The Reno12 Series also includes OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge and the highest energy density 5,000mAh battery in Reno Series history.
The OPPO Reno12 Series will be available for pre-sale from 27 June with an on-sale date of 11 July. The Reno12 will be available in Astro Silver and Black Brown for $799 and the Reno12 Pro will be available in Nebula Silver and Nebula Black for RRP $999.
Both devices will be available for purchase via Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, and the OPPO online store.
Watch X
OPPO Watch X boasts dual-frequency GPS and exclusive fitness monitoring features. Enabled by a dual-engine architecture and hybrid interface by Wear OS by Google, Watch X has industry-leading endurance with up to 100 hours of battery life or up to 12 days with power saver mode. With Wear OS 4, Watch X comes with Google Play’s app ecosystem including Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Wallet, and Google Play.
OPPO Watch X features a 500mAh battery and VOOC Flash Charging for multi-day use and quick recharging. It can be fully charged in just 60 minutes or provide an additional 24 hours of use in 10 minutes.
Driving the Watch X is OPPO’s proprietary dual-engine architecture with two separate chipsets — the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 Wearable Platform and the BES2700 MCU – tuned to work in tandem with Wear OS’s hybrid interface.
OPPO Watch X has also passed the MIL-STD-810H US military standard and is rated for IP68 dust resistance and 5ATM water resistance.
The OPPO Watch X will be available from 20 June on the OPPO online store for $699.
