Entertaining season is in full swing and ASKOhas expanded its range of appliances designed specially to withstand the elements with the release of the ASKO Outdoor Fridge (R2303 RRP $2,499).
The new outdoor fridge can be freestanding or built-in under bench where it could be paired with ASKO’s Outdoor dishwasher to fully kit out an alfresco entertaining area.
The 153 litre fridge is insulated to withstand ambient temperatures of up to 49 degrees Celsius, meaning it is guaranteed to keep beverages cold, and is IPX4 Water Resistant to withstand rain and outdoor elements. It has adjustable feet and a sealed motor to protect it from vermin and the environment.
The top glass shelf splits in half and slides back under itself to allow storage of tall items on the shelf below. Two wine racks feature fully extendable telescopic shelves which can store up to 10 wine bottles and the upper wine rack can be removed to store larger bottles.
Also in the outdoor entertaining market is Arisit, which distributes Husky outdoor underbench fridges in three sizes: one, two or three doors (RRP $1,299 to RRP $2,500). They are designed to withstand the extremes of weather, while remaining energy efficient with heat reflective glass. Mullion heaters are built in to stop any external condensation and a heated door stops condensation forming inside the fridge.
There is a strip of LED lighting in each fridge to view drinks anytime of day or night.
“Outdoor entertaining is an all-important part of Australian life. Fully equipped alfresco areas are the hottest trend and we believe that the incorporation of outdoor kitchens will soon be an all essential part to every home,” said Shelley Neill, Arisit marketing communications coordinator.
