Panasonic has introduced a wearable gaming speaker that allows players to immerse themselves and experience the real emotion of gaming.

The GNW10 SoundSlayer sports a lightweight, ergonomic design which incorporates four-channel speakers, wireless connectivity, and AI voice control to deliver a realistic sensory experience. The LED lights incorporated into the housing add atmosphere and colour to gameplay.

Incorporating four newly developed 38mm speakers arranged from front to back, the GNW10 creates realistic sounds from all directions. The new 130cc housing – 60% larger than the current SC-GN01 Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker System – delivers more acoustic pressure and powerful bass.

This compares to conventional headphones which deliver dialogue, music, sound effects, and voice communication through only two channels – left and right.

PC users can download and install the dedicated Sound Slayer app for configuring of functions including equaliser, chat volume, and sound mode, and save up to three different presets. The GNW10 also offers multiple audio modes tailored to enhance game play including Role-Playing Game, First-Person Shooter and Voice mode.

Panasonic’s proprietary wireless technology can transmit six-channel audio signals on a dedicated 2.4GHz band with a latency of less than 20 milliseconds. Button placement has been optimised for easy operation, the intuitive layout and functional button shape allows gamers to communicate with co-op partners without losing focus.

The GNW10 introduces AI voice control by Intelligo Technology, offering superior noise-cancelling performance that eliminates ambient noise and ensures that co-op partners only hear your voice.

“The GNW10 SoundSlayer delivers an immersive audio soundscape and intense gaming experience, along with crystal-clear communication. It’s combined with an ergonomic design that removes pressure on ears and the head, so you can play hard in comfort,” Panasonic product marketing manager for AV, Fifi Tjiong said.

The GNW10 package combines a wireless, neck-mounted wearable gaming speaker and a separate wireless transmitter. Simply connecting the transmitter to a PC or console via a USB cable creates a wireless connection to the wearable gaming speaker. Compatible with Windows 10/11 PCs, PS4/PS5 consoles, and the Nintendo Switch (TV mode only), the GNW10 also supports subwoofer output.

The GNW10 SoundSlayer will be available in mid-December from Amazon for RRP $449.
