Ahead of go-to-market transition.
Philips Australia and New Zealand general manager for personal health, Chris Kerr, has decided to pursue new opportunities outside of the business, after 21 years of leadership in various sales management roles. Philips market strategy lead for personal health, Muir Keir will succeed Kerr, effective immediately. Kerr will remain with the company until early June to ensure a successful transition.

Peter Bosscher has been promoted to sales director for Philips ANZ personal health. He has more than 16 years of experience in various business development, marketing and sales roles across Philips in Europe and Australia. He was most recently general manager of the local sales team. Bosscher will now oversee a larger team focusing on further improving its relationships with its retail partners.
These changes align with Philips’ ongoing transformation and go-to-market strategy of its personal health business in Australia and New Zealand, as it brings sales and distribution management of the majority of its consumer product categories back in-house, which will come into effect 1 June, 2017.
Muir is a marketing veteran and seasoned Philips leader with a 12-year tenure in roles that span across ANZ and South East Asia. In these roles, Muir’s responsibilities included marketing and sales management of various consumer categories including health and wellness, as well as television, with his last three years focusing on emerging markets as ASEAN Pacific marketing director for personal health. Prior to Philips, Muir held marketing roles at Hasbro and Fujifilm in the United Kingdom.

We wish Chris the very best in his next endeavours, and are confident that Muir will continue his previous success at Philips in leading the personal health team on our journey to becoming a leader in personalised health.”
