Harvey Norman recently opened the doors to its flagship concept store in Ireland’s Tallaght, which has created over 50 jobs in the local area with Harvey Norman now employing over 900 staff across Ireland.
Harvey Norman Ireland general manager, electrical, Tim Hannon told Appliance Retailer, “This is the 15th Harvey Norman store on the island of Ireland and boasts over 60,000 square feet of state of the art appliances, technology and interiors. Harvey Norman Ireland revamped the derelict Airton Road Retail Park, investing 6 million Pounds ($10.1 million) in the region to create a world-class store. Set on a three acre site with over 250 free car parking spaces, 42 cycle stands and a Costa Coffee.
“With all styles and budgets catered for, the interiors showroom is a trend setting inspirational space. The appliances and technology departments have a real buzz of excitement in the air; with regular cooking demonstrations and sampling from the two fully functioning kitchens, a Dyson Blow Dry Bar, The Wonder Photo Shop will bring your memories to life and its home to Ireland’s first Games Hub.”
At the recent launch of the store, Harvey Norman Ireland CEO, Blaine Callard, announced that Harvey Norman is now a sponsor of the Shamrock Rovers Football Club in Tallaght and has also been collaborating with the Tallaght Institute of Technology, donating laptops to students.
