Dr. WP Hong (pictured), president and CMO of Samsung Electronics will deliver a keynote address at CES 2016 on Thursday, January 7, in the Venetian’s Palazzo Ballroom. He joins Intel’s CEO, Brian Krzanich, on the stage at the show which will run January 6-9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Hong planned to provide a look into Samsung’s progress in turning the vision of the IoT into reality, focusing on tangible solutions and products in areas most closely related to our everyday lives, with specific emphases on Samsung’s IoT data security and customer-centric mobile payment solutions.
Before assuming his current position, Dr. Hong contributed to establishing Samsung’s GALAXY franchise as a synonym for its popular and advanced Android products. As the head of global product strategy, he oversaw Samsung’s transformation from a mass market volume player to a leader in sophisticated mobile products. In addition to his work on the Android brand, he was a driving force behind Samsung’s innovations in IoT, multi-screen consumer experiences, cloud storage, music, video, e-book and game services.
