On-the-go convenience and productivity are at the heart of Samsung’s latest addition of the Galaxy tablet line-up, which packs a super AMOLED display and battery life up to 14 hours into the thinnest and lightest tablet design from Samsung to date, measuring just 5.6mm and weighing in at 265 grams. The Galaxy Tab S2 was unveiled to select media at an exclusive lunch yesterday at Guillaume, restaurant of Samsung ambassador, Guillaume Brahimi, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Available in 8 inch and 9.7 inch models, the tablet boasts an Octa-core processor, Samsung’s Adaptive Display, which intelligently adjusts gamma, saturation and sharpness based on the application, colour temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting. The Reading Mode feature also modifies the screen’s brightness level to help users read content for longer periods of time without straining their eyes.
The battery life can be extended with Power Saving and Ultra Power Saving mode options. For streamlined device management options, the Galaxy Tab S2 features Smart Manager which displays the device’s settings automatically, including battery power levels, storage and RAM availability for users to efficiently manage their devices. It is also pre-installed with anti-malware for additional protection.
Users will be able to seamlessly stream high definition content with the Dual Band AC wireless connectivity. In addition, the new Quick Connect feature enables users to share multimedia and content files from their Galaxy Tab S2 to their Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5 or Samsung Smart TV.
The Galaxy Tab S2 caters to users seeking maximised productivity on the go. The tablet comes with Microsoft Office Applications allowing users to create and edit documents, as well as store up to 100GB of files on the cloud via OneDrive.
It is built with a touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner and built-in advanced security sensor for easy access to the device with a simple press against the home key.
