Got an outstanding young retailer working for you? If so, it’s time to consider nominating them for the 2014 Young Retailer of the Year competition.
Nominations are now open for the competition and the National Retail Association is looking for Australia’s brightest young retailers — 25 years and under — who display excellence in leadership and innovation in their jobs.
The winner will receive a spot on the Westfield World Retail Study Tour, valued at almost $17,000, and the title of Young Retailer of the Year, now in its 41st year.

NRA chief executive Trevor Evans said the Young Retailer of the Year Awards aimed to showcase young individuals who were actively making a difference in their businesses.
“Retail is a dynamic industry so we’re looking for nominations from those working in every facet of the sector, from the small corner store right up to young professionals working in the head office of major retail chains,” Mr Evans said.
“The retail industry is largely filled with young workers and we think it’s important to recognise that you can have a long, successful and exciting career in retail. The young retailers of today are the executives and CEOs of our industry’s future so it’s important we provide opportunities and incentives for those who are leading the way.”
Nominations close Friday 4 July and all nominees receive a free ticket to the Future of Retail Forum. Finalists will be announced on Monday 4 August and the winner will be announced at a gala dinner in Sydney on Friday 26 September. For more information on the competition click here.
