Sennheiser has announced the CX True Wireless, a new addition to the wireless earphone range.
The new earphones feature a nine-hour battery life, which can be extended to 27 hours with the on-the-go charging case, as well as IPX4 splash resistance, and passive noise cancellation.
The CX True Wireless have SBC, AAC, and aptX audio codec support, built-in EQ, and are Bluetooth 5.2 compatible, with connections controllable via the Sennheiser Smart Control app.
They also feature a customisable touch interface to control calls, audio, and access voice assistants, while the Sidetone feature allows users to hear their own voice during calls at a customisable volume.
Dual microphones improve voice pick-up and allow the CX True Wireless to be used with a singular earbud, which can be swapped between using the ‘role switching’ feature.
The charging case intuitively powers the earphones off when charging, and on when removed.
Sennheiser product manager Anton Zgurskiy said, “The CX True Wireless delivers truly superior sound at an accessible price point. Featuring state-of-the-art technology and offering proven ergonomics, the earbuds have been developed according to user comfort studies. They also offer an outstanding personal audio experience that anyone can enjoy anywhere and every day.”
The CX True Wireless joins Sennheiser’s existing wireless earphone range which includes the CX 400BT True Wireless and the premium MOMENTUM True Wireless 2.
The CX True Wireless earphones will be available soon in matte black and matte white for RRP $199.95.
