Sharp US will be moving its sales and marketing functions from its New Jersey offices to Hisense’s offices in Suwanee, as the two technology giants prepare for the January takeover of the Sharp US TV business.
Hisense USA vice president of sales, Peter Erdman has reportedly said that a single sales and marketing team will sell both brands, although each brand will be treated differently.
It is yet to be determined if Hisense will require separate dealer agreements for each brand and if dealers will be required to take on both Sharp and Hisense.
“With the acquisition of the Sharp factory and licensing deal, we will be able to supply more products in North America,” Erdman said.
Erdman also reportedly revealed that the first Hisense-developed Sharp-brand products will appear at CES 2016.
