Sony launched its first Digital Imaging Scene Trade Show at the White Bay Power Station in Sydney focused on digital imaging and technology.
The weekend event on September 28-29 featured guest speakers, product showcases and a touch-and-try environment, offering an immersive experience for all visitors. It included interactive zones on photography, cinema, play, an image gallery of Sony’s Alpha Awards photography competition, a pop-up cinema screening the finalist films from Sony’s Catchlight Film Festival short film competition, plus workshop and masterclass stages.
The cinema zone simulated a film set with lighting and Sony high-end cinema cameras, giving visitors the opportunity to see what goes into creating a cinematic scene with a live relay showcasing the filming process. At the play zone, attendees could drop off their camera off for a complimentary sensor clean and there was a series of vlogging cameras and accessories on loan for vlogging the Scene Tradeshow experience.
There were over 100 Sony products to experience including the Alpha full frame and cinema camera lineup, new G Master lenses and selected Sony and G-branded lenses, along with camera accessories such as microphones, on-camera flashes and camera grips.
Prior to the public opening, Sony hosted media and retailers to a special event preview.
