It has been one year since Bertazzoni Australia became its own local subsidiary, supported by Bertazzoni Italy. Over the last 12 months, Bertazzoni Australia managing director, Mark Tragear has been instrumental in repositioning the brand to better reflect its true market position and enable sales growth by finetuning product pricing and ranging.
Tragear recently sat down with Appliance Retailer to reflect on 2024, acknowledging that while setting up a local subsidiary was challenging at times, the foundation was completed in just over four months.
“We implemented a new ERP system, retail and commercial price structure, national warehousing, distribution and after sales service network. We also restructured our retail sales portal and welcomed a number of experienced industry veterans to the team. These changes were critical to a business turnaround and to enable future success,” he said.
“In 2025, we will continue to capitalise on sales opportunities and innovate our promotions. We are ready for a successful year and look forward to sharing this success with our retail partners.”
Bertazzoni will continue to respond to market shifts and trends through an expansion of its cooking range with market-leading technology and colour options. This will build upon the momentum of product innovation introduced throughout 2024.
With value in mind, the newly launched Bertazzoni Master Series is priced from $3,499, making the brand more accessible to a broader range of customers. This Series, available in both gas and induction, incorporates a sophisticated matt black on black finish – unlike most cookers on the market with a stainless steel trim – delivering a more luxurious design.
The Bertazzoni Professional Series Air-Tec cooker is a world-first cooking appliance. Air-Tec eliminates the need for a rangehood, making it an ideal choice for kitchen designs with a window or island benchtop.
Bertazzoni offers the only 600mm built-in combi-steam oven with pyrolytic cleaning, incorporating hot air and steam in one appliance. Available in Professional, Modern and Heritage Series, customers have eight finishes to choose from.
In response to increasing government regulations around gas supply and a subsequent shift to induction appliances, Bertazzoni also expanded its induction offering, with a market-leading selection of 15 models.
Induction cookers are now available in 900mm, 1000mm, 1100mm and 1200mm, and in single, double and triple oven configurations. Customers can select a finish from the Heritage colour range or choose an exclusive luxury automotive paint finish in the Professional range.
Adding to the ivory and matt black colour options in the Heritage Series, Bertazzoni has introduced a stainless steel finish and a matching rangehood. The Heritage Series cooker and rangehood can be further personalised with the Collezione Metalli accessories, knobs and handles in gold, copper and black nickel.
All Bertazzoni appliances now come with a five-year warranty, effective 1 January 2025, reflecting the brand’s promise of quality craftmanship and providing customers with added peace of mind.
2025 marks Bertazzoni’s 143rd year in business, representing the oldest cooking appliance manufacturing company in the world, still owned by the same family and operating out of the same factory in Italy.
