Samsung Electronics Australia is bringing ease and efficiency to home cooking with the local launch of its built-in cooking range, with research showing that two-thirds (66%) of Australians are cooking more at home and eating out less to save money.[1]
The line-up of ovens, cooktops, rangehoods and dishwashers, first announced at IFA 2023, responds to growing interest in appliances that take the guesswork out of cooking and meal preparation. Forming part of the growing Samsung BESPOKE portfolio, the range also brings stylish and unique designs to the kitchen, likely to be considered by the one-third (33%) of homeowners who plan to renovate their property in the next 12 months.
To mark the launch, Samsung Electronics Australia released research which shows more than two in five (43%) Australians are cooking at home more than they used to, spending up to 260 hours per year cooking, putting the need for intelligent and easy-to-use technology front of mind.[2]
Powered by Samsung’s SmartThings connectivity, the new built-in cooking range gives Australians an opportunity to level up their cooking experience through innovative features, supporting the 45% of Australians who want to take their culinary skills to new heights.[3]
Wi-Fi connectivity allows Australians to remotely monitor and control their oven, cooktop and rangehood from their smartphone. AI Pro Cooking with a built-in camera facilitates an easy, fun and shareable cooking experience, combined with the ability to detect if food is burning, sending a notification with the option to turn down the temperature or turn off the heat completely. A feature that will appeal to Australians who admitted the most common mistakes made when cooking are overcooking (43%) and burning food (32%).[4]
Another key feature in the oven range is Dual Cook Flex (available on select models) which delivers two compartments that can be set to two different temperatures. When multi-cooking, a flexible door means one zone can be checked without interrupting the other.
Samsung Electronics Australia head of home appliances, Sasha Botha said, “Australians are spending more time at home, yet our research shows that many don’t have the time to spend honing their cooking skills. We’re thrilled to launch built-In cooking that uses AI innovation to simplify the cooking experience and ultimately bring meaningful innovation to Australian homes.
“Through the integration of SmartThings, Samsung offers another level of value and convenience to streamline the cooking process. Whether it be scheduling cooking to suit your routine, or watching your dinner cook from the palm of your hand, the new range offers Australians more freedom to invest their time in what matters most to them.”
The Samsung built-in cooking range is now available in Australia via select Harvey Norman and The Good Guys stores.
