Hi-Fi audio brand Technics is launching its latest wireless earbuds, the EAH-AZ100, featuring proprietary Magnetic Fluid Driver technology for higher sound performance.
Using an AI noise reduction chip and three microphones in each earbud, the EAG-AZ100 employs Voice Focus AI. This feature analyses incoming sound to improve the quality of the caller’s audio, while reducing background noise such as traffic or wind. Adaptive Noise Cancelling also considers the shape of the user’s ear and overall noise levels to adjust the level of noise cancellation for any situation. EAH-AZ100 eliminates low to mid-range and human vocal range noise to stop distractions from other people talking nearby.
The Magnetic Fluid Driver employed in Technics’ EAH-TZ700 wired, in-ear monitors has been miniaturised for the EAH-AZ100 model. The technology produces a new level of low-distortion sound, while an ultra-thin free edge maintains an accurate low-frequency response for rich bass sounds. With the addition of an aluminium diaphragm, the earbuds can produce natural high-resolution sound separation and details.
The Magnetic Fluid is an oil-type liquid containing magnetic particles that sits in the space between the driver magnet and voice coil for low-distortion playback. This delivers an audio quality that recreates an artist’s intended sound and atmosphere without the need for digital enhancement.
The EAH-AZ100 earbuds feature spatial audio optimised for Dolby Atmos, ensuring podcasts, movies, music and games have enhanced voice clarity. Dolby Head Tracking interprets head movements to recalibrate the sound field in real-time for a 360-degree immersive audio experience.
Technics has integrated its three-device multipoint connectivity, allowing EAH-AZ100 earbuds to connect with laptops, phones and tablets and switch between them with announcements from nearby connected devices.
The size and weight of the earbuds have been reduced for all-day comfort, with a fifth ‘ML’ size ear tip for more user choice. Compatible Qi Wireless Charging and improved battery life allows for 10 hours of playback when the earbuds are left out of the case, and 28 hours when stored in it.
One-touch Conversation Mode enables users to pause music and switch to transparent mode without having to take the EAH-AZ100 earbuds out of their ears. When the earbuds are taken out, wearing sensors automatically pause music and disable touch sensors to stop unwanted controls, and can be put back in to resume music.
The earbuds support Bluetooth LE Audio standard and Auracast, allowing customers to pair and share an audio experience. LC3 codec delivers low-latency audio when gaming and watching videos. Android users can also sync with nearby devices and accessories using Google Fast Pair. The Technics Audio Connect app enables personalised sound tuning and location tracking of misplaced earbuds from a smartphone.
