Technics will release its first true wireless earphones, the EAH-AZ70W, with dual hybrid noise cancelling technology in selected audio specialist retailers from mid-July for RRP $449.
Dual hybrid noise cancelling incorporates feedofrward noise cancelling and feedback noise cancelling using microphones to combat noise from outside and inside the ear with a combination of analogue and digital processing. In addition, MEMS microphones use a unique built-in labyrinth structure to suppress wind noise and improve noise cancelling, while beam-forming technology ensures voice is delivered efficiently and ambient noise is suppressed.
The battery provides up to 6.5 hours of continuous playback when noise cancellation is activated and the charging cradle can be fully charged twice, allowing up to 19.5 hours of playback. The EAH-AZ70W also feature splash-proof performance equivalent to IPX4.
The earphones reflect Technic’s design elegance with premium touches such as a high-grade spin treatment on the control area and matching lightweight aluminum charging case. The compact design is achieved with the integration of a Bluetooth antenna and touch sensor inside the control area, which switches between noise cancelling, ambient sound and off with a tap.
The earphones are compatible with Siri and Google Assistant direct on the touch sensor. Amazon Alexa can be activated with the Alexa mobile app and will be available via the touch sensor later this year.
