Uniden has launched the Guardian App Cam Floodlight – a full HD smart security Wi-Fi camera and floodlight in one device.
With Thermo Sense technology, the Floodlight only detects motion from people, as opposed to other objects, using smart heat sensors. Night vision provides up to 10 metres of viewing distance or up to 30 metres using the inbuilt floodlight with up to 2500 lumens. Boasting a 135-degree viewing angle, the lighting can be adjusted to suit various external environments.
Supporting social distancing protocols during COVID-19, the Floodlight sends real-time notifications, including alerts when a delivery arrives at the doorstep, while a built-in microphone and speaker enables two-way communication. There is also a 100dB siren alert that can be activated as a deterrent to intruders.
The Floodlight is Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatible, allowing users to integrate their home security cameras into a connected home set-up. It can be controlled via the free Uniden app using a Wi-Fi connection and footage can be stored on an SD card or via Uniden’s seven-day free cloud backup.
