Westinghouse is celebrating 80 years in Australian and New Zealand homes with the launch of more than 50 new kitchen and laundry products, including ovens, cooktops, rangehoods and microwaves, as well as washing machines and dryers, presented to retailers as part of a national training roadshow in August.
The Westinghouse Multifunction 60cm and 90cm ovens, available in both dark stainless steel and stainless steel finishes incorporate features like AirFrywith two trays to cook more with only a small amount of oil. The Steam +Roast function combines steam cooking with traditional fan cooking.
Westinghouse has also introduced a new freestanding oven with induction cooktop, which combines the capacity of a 90cm oven with the precision and control of an induction cooktop. There is also a freestanding oven with gas cooktop in dark stainless steel or stainless steel.
The PyroCleanfunction available on selected built-in and freestanding ovens keeps the oven clean at the press of a button without need the for harsh chemicals or elbow grease. The oven heats up and burns the leftover mess to simply wipe away any residue once completed.
New Westinghouse cooktops are designed with practical features for multi-tasking with ease. Selected models cater for larger pots and pans with the Bridge Zone feature to use two induction zones separately or link them together.
All Westinghouse induction cooktops come with BoilProtect, which detects rising bubbles and turns down to a simmer before water boils over. Westinghouse gas cooktops feature dual valve control and a flame failure device.
New Westinghouse rangehoods deliver Hob2Hood functionality that automatically turns on the rangehood and adjusts according to cooking when paired with selected cooktops. The removeable aluminium micro-mesh filters are dishwasher-safe or can be hand washed.
Westinghouse’s latest microwaves offer Auto Cook options for households to choose one of 13 options, enter food weight and the program will calculate the optimum time, temperature and settings.
To complement its dark stainless steel refrigerators, Westinghouse is introducing dark stainless steel front and top load washing machines, and heat pump dryer. The washing machines feature fast wash options and the heat pump dryer comes with a 7-star energy rating, SensorDry and Reverse Tumble Drying options.
